Re: In defence of the owners
I think the owners are utter crap and have yet to renew my membership.

The only positive I can throw at the current abysmal situation is they hadn't the guts to sack bilic, are hoping desperately he will fail in the next few weeks so they can replace him. Most of us feel we have a half decent squad now but an extremely poor manager, it follows that a new manager brought in quickly could turn this lot around.

Can't think of any other reason why they would allow this nonsense to go on, other than to line their own pockets of course.

Re: In defence of the owners
After 46 years supporting this club, I am done. I never thought anything could be worse than the Brown years, but these cunts are raping the club of literally everything - its identity, its history, its cultural home and its finances. I renewed this season but have literally no interest in going (I reckon I'll do half a dozen games, if that) and after this season will not set foot inside the stadium again until they're gone.

The incompetent, egostisical, parasitical wankers.

"I said that I would like to have one more and then after that if somebody leaves we have to fill that gap because we dont have a big, big squad."

so he said he wanted carvahlo before the protracted negotiations/pantomime, in the meantime they've continued selling/loaning out players, predictably wrore off the carvahlo deal and filled zero gaps. cunts

So he didn't get his one more AND others have left since he said that haven't they?

So is he really happy now?

Re: In defence of the owners
To be fair, it's Bilic that is saying it... he also said at the start of the summer he only wanted to bring in a few players for the starting line up, and that is what we have got.

"I am happy with the squad now," he added.

"I said that I would like to have one more and then after that if somebody leaves we have to fill that gap because we don’t have a big, big squad.

"This is our squad for the season, or at least until January."

Maybe they are selling up ?, stripping the club to make us more attractive

I only say that because I can't think of what else is making these cunts operate like this

I disagree, Mike. Well, apart from the defensive midfield position, and maybe a couple of wingers..... oh yeah, and a fit striker. OK then.

Re: In defence of the owners
people saying the squad is adequate are very wrong, we're desperately short of quality. well done you fucking amateur cunts

scorch they set yhe price watford matched it the cunning bastards if only we had thought of doing that!

Sir Alf 8:06 Thu Aug 31
Re: In defence of the owners
Who knows Scorchy. ?

But assuming we thought he was worth 35million and even a blind man can see our defensive midfield options are limited ( hence Bilic playing an 18 year old CB) and extra 5 million to get someone for that area is odd.

Also, why would we not get a loan in? Can only assume Bilic does not see the problem, the 2Bobs would not see it even if we were shipping 4 goals a game ( oh yeah we are),

Regardless of manager that central midfield is weak squad wise IMO and many others opinion too, We got to hope Bilic can get Kouyate to be more disciplined and start pressing and for both him and Obiang to get picked and not pick up injuries.

The thought of relying on Ayew, Noble and Fernandes to boss the midfield is well.... frightening in the extreme :-)

Sir Alf 7:54

Depends if sporting actually give a shit about this bloke or if they were bothered about holding on to him and rinsing every drop of income like they clearly are about Carvalho.

Re: In defence of the owners
like the idea of the 66min walkout

for those of you who say it will effect the team well sorry but sometimes things are more important

Watford have confirmed the signing of Dutch defender Marvin Zeegelaar from Sporting Lisbon on a four-year deal.

Tough club to deal with ?

Re: In defence of the owners
The only thing I'd say is I think we'd probably be doing better with what we've got player wise under a different manager, and the players they've fronted up for this summer in addition to what we already had should be good enough to get us more or less where we think we should be.

But then the hiring and firing is their responsibility anyway....

Re: In defence of the owners
Andy H - they also had those poxy things for the Depeche Mode concert. Sadly, I'd love to blame Sully with the way I'm feeling at their lack of action, but that's down to the stadium owners and he'd wriggle out of blame there.
As for dealing with anything else, like the lack of West Ham facilities outside and the rest of it... well, Sully is a dick.

Re: In defence of the owners
Let's be honest here, who's really looking forward to our first home game at the London Stadium, and i mean like we used to when we were at Upton Park. Those stop and go signs, i'd like to stick them up Sullivan's arse

Megatron 7:22 Thu Aug 31
Re: In defence of the owners
Don't worry about organising anything, there'll probably be a mass walkout once we concede a second or third to Huddersfield anyway.

Re: In defence of the owners
Interesting read from KUMB - much as you may dislike the origin, it reads very well for our present predicament...

A little reminder of Mickey's musings from back in '09:

"Blues fan here, omg cant believe you will have them two chancers, barrowboys, muppets, twats,in charge of you lot soon god help yous...welcome to the world of very very average players being signed from the fizzy pop leagues, sully loves a gamble on some mickey mouse no mark player that he thinks hes going to sell for £20 million in a few years, all i can is before every transfer window he will promise you the world and deliver you jackshite, the man is a cock of the highest order and you are about to find that out in the next year.k.r.o"

"blues fan here chaps....had a right laugh at this,if yous lot think dux is bad with the spin, just wait till sully start coming out with the ***** he will defo surpass duxbury, now i dont want to burst your bubbble this morning but in 2/3 years time you will defo be doing this"

Good luck chaps......but sully as got to be the biggest "tw@t" in great britian.....sully will run that club from top to bottom as gold is just his bitch....they found a great formula at blues for making money out of yo yoing.......im just waiting now for sully to say you have got 20 deals on the go before the window shuts, and really you will end up with jackshite, then before you know it upson will have been sold for £10 million in this window or the next.....i know you dont want to believe this, this morning, but sully is a 24 caret tw@t.....end of rant.....

"To find out what approach Sullivan, Gold and Brady will take towards West Ham just look back in the archives for their time at Birmingham - the initial comments already create an overwhelming sense of deja vu... Firstly, tell the fans an amount that you are in debt (their figures, not necessarily substantiated)- the fear created justifies the inevitable increase in ticket prices in the summer (Birmingham were more expensive to watch than Man Utd)
Secondly, blame high wages for the club's problems, but then make out that you will spend a huge sum of money on a 'star' player's wages (conveniently unnamed) - there was never any realistic chance that the player would sign, but gives the supporters the false impression that these guys are prepared to back big transfers
Thirdly, avoid spending any money on facilities by trying to move the club to a new ground that someone else has paid for - ie the 2012 Olympic Stadium - witness the failed campaign aimed at getting the City Council to pay for a new stadium in Birmingham which the club would move to but not contribute towards

Is it coincidence that Birmingham's fortunes have turned up since the point when this group departed? The increased harmony at the club is reflected on the pitch and the reduction in pressure from the Board has allowed the manager to make his own decisions, most of which now seem to be delivering results, and actually look like he is enjoying himself!

Birmingham's fans, like those of any club, can certainly be accused of periods of unrealistic expectation - but then as he has already done at West Ham it was Sullivan himself that made comments about Champions League qualification, not the supporters...

Ungrateful? On occasions for sure, but being regularly reminded for 15 years of how our club was 'saved' eventually wears a little thin... and if the chauffeured Rolls Royce journey caused Sullivan 'fatigue', then don't be shocked that a working class fan base doesn't show you the adoration you crave...keep right on..and up the blues...."
